We tailor our daily scheduled events to fit the interests of each and every resident. Our programming offers a variety of options, helping residents to stay empowered in their lives. When a resident moves in to Parsons House, our Life Enrichment Coordinator conducts an interview to get to know our new resident’s life story, their likes and dislikes, and then offers recommendations on which clubs, meetings, or outings the resident may enjoy.
Our top motivators are resident choice and satisfaction. Every month our residents are invited to attend and participate in Chef’s Chat, Town Hall, Resident Services Council, and Captain’s Table. Each meeting provides residents and staff an opportunity to plan, comment, and implement the things that are most important. At Chef’s Chat, residents can comment on food and make menu suggestions. Town Hall is a space to discuss everything that is going well in the community and the things that may need improvement. The Resident Services meeting gives residents and staff a chance to plan the larger events, offer suggestions for programming changes, and entertainment. Captain’s Table is a monthly roundtable at lunch time where residents may dine with the Executive Director and other department heads.
