Robin Payne - Executive Director

Robin joins Parsons House Frisco with over 36 years of experience in healthcare and senior living, including assisted living and memory care. It was at the age of nine, while assisting the nurses in caring for her Great-grandmother, that Robin knew what she wanted to do when she grew up. Robin started her career at Hillcrest Hospital in Waco, Texas at the age of 16.  Prior to her joining and opening a new Assisted Living Community in 1996, she worked for a Skilled Nursing Facility for 14 years. 

Robin has a love and passion for seniors. Her residents' smiles and hugs warm her heart. She said it’s an honor and joy to be a part of her residents' and staff's lives each day. They are an extension to her family. When not spending time with her extended family, Robin enjoys spending time with her husband (Sam), daughter (Brandy), grand-son (Landon), and her 2 fur babies (Apollo and Phee Phee) which you may see from time to time. Robin is very excited about joining Parsons House Frisco. She said caring for seniors is a true calling and it is an honor to work for, The Parsons, such an amazing family who care so much for each and every resident and employee. Robin said she is at "home".

Lonnie Channing - Director of Sales & Marketing

Lonnie Channing – Director of Sales & Marketing: Lonnie Channing joined the Parsons House Team in 2019, after working in the Multi-Family and Senior Living industries. Her true passion is working with Seniors, and she feels honored to serve our residents. Lonnie has lived in the neighborhood for years and would daydream about working at Parsons House during her daily commute, telling herself, “One day, I will work there!” She feels blessed to have achieved her dream, and we are grateful that she found us. When Lonnie is away from Parsons House, she spends her time with her 22-year-old son (the love of her life), her sweet Labradoodle Lola, and her Blue Heeler, Ruby.

Karen Rowlett - Resident Services Director

Karen was born in Detroit Michigan. When she was six months old, her parents who were British, picked up the family and moved back to England. Karen spent her years growing up in Bedford England, which is fifty miles north of London. She attended college in Luton, England.

Karen started her working life in Pattern Cutter and Design. She worked for a lingerer company making patterns for a nightwear company. Karen has been in many different roles in her working career including owning a Pub and working in Greece as a resort representative. After moving to the United States Karen worked for Bank of America for ten years in many different roles ending that chapter in her life in sales support on the closing services side of the business.

Karen has been in senior care for ten years she feels that all of her working careers has been developing the numerous skills needed to be in this caring industry. She says "Work is not working anymore, it is the great pleasure 1 has in walking through the door of an Assisted Living community and working with seniors."

Karen Traveled extensively both in the United Kingdom and Europe prior to coming to the United States of America. Karen has a large family in the U.K. and in the U.S. including Plano.

When Karen is not spending time with family, which includes young nieces and nephews, Karen enjoys knitting, reading, and socializing with friends.

Kimberly Britt - Business Office Supervisor

Kimberly  joined our staff in June 2020 as a Business Office Supervisor.  Kim was born and raised in Mississippi and graduated from Millsaps College in Jackson, MS in 1986 with a degree in Art and minor in Business Administration.  Shortly after graduation, she moved to Eugene, OR where her husband, Mark, was enrolled in graduate school.  His education and work have taken them to Idaho, Colorado, and New Mexico where Kim held a variety of office jobs.  Texas has been home to Kim and family since 1995 – first in Waco and in Denton since 2003.  Kim’s longest tenure was at Denton ISD payroll for 11 years.   She has two adult children, Hannah and Matthew.  Other family members include Great Pyrenees, Lulu, and three cats - Sunny Boy, Kasey, and Blue.  Kim’s 85 year-old mother, Cammie, has lived with her family since 2010.  Kim has always enjoyed the company of Seniors and hearing their life stories.  She is excited to be a part of the Parsons family. 

Jean Leanne D. Hortaleza, Assistant Assisted Living Director

Jean grew up in the Philippines and graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She received her license as a Registered Nurse in 2003 in the Philippines. Jean and her family moved to Texas in 2008.

Her passion to care for the elderly ignited when she lost both of her parents. Jean began working at Parsons House Frisco in April 2010. For Jean, Parsons House Frisco residents and staff is her second family.

Samatha (Sam) Vaughn, Assisted Living Director

Sam joins Parsons House Frisco with 18 years of experience. Sam began her journey in Senior Care in 2001 caring for residents in memory care in McKinney, Texas before making what is now Parsons House Frisco, her second home, on August 23, 2003. It was Sam’s childhood best friend who opened Sam’s heart to care for seniors. The love, passion, and dedication for the residents is Sam’s strength and motivation in the care she provides to each resident. Sam became the Assisted Living Director for Parsons House Frisco in 2018.

Sam was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma, and is the youngest of 6 children. She and her family moved to Texas in 1991. Sam graduated from McKinney High School in 1998 and is a mother of 3 beautiful kiddos; Virginia (14), Elijah (11), and Myleia (9). Sam is very family-oriented and holds her family values close to her heart.

When Sam is not spending time with her children and family; you will find her caring for her residents and families, as she enjoys being a part of their lives. And oftentimes you will see Sam and her children spending time with the residents, as Sam feels that her kiddos deserve the same blessings of learning from the residents and hearing their stories.

Willie Houston, Maintenance Director

Willie joined Parsons House Frisco in 2017. Willie was born in Louisiana and graduated from North Cuddo High School. Shortly after graduated Willie began his career working with LaQuinta Hotels in 1987 where he worked for 23 years. Willie moved around with LaQuinta first to Texas City, Texas in 1989 and then to College Station where he became Hotel Manager for his remaining years with LaQuintia.

In 2011 Willie began working in senior living at Hudson Creek Memory Care Community where he worked for 5 years until moving to the Dallas area and joining Parsons House Frisco.

Willie has 4 children, 3 boys, and 1 girl (Shaquille, Marikia, Keenen, and Jamile.

Willie said The Parsons have made him feel that we are one big family.

Magaye (Max) Khan, Director of Dietary Services

Max grew up in Gambia, West Africa. He moved to the United States in 1984. He has been married to his lovely bride, Jamie, for over 26 years. He has two beautiful children, Amie, 25, and Magaye Jr., 20.

Max graduated from Eastfield College with a double Associate Degree in Management and Computer information systems.

Max began his career with Hyatt Regency Dallas where he gathered extensive knowledge and cooking experience in the culinary field. Thereafter Max transferred into the Senior Living Industry when he fell in love with cooking for seniors. He says it is very gratifying and rewarding to be able to continuously provide excellent quality and varieties of food for our residents.

Max has been working as the Chef with Parsons House Frisco for over 14 years. He said it is an honor to do whatever it takes so our residents have complete satisfaction with food and dining services.
